Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.this is an interesting quote that seems to be attributed to a man named Alexander Tytler, but as the website below attests, is perhaps not by him at all and merely given attribution to add imperative or consequence. In other words, it is a quote, an oscillation, about cycles, which while in circulation, passes into spin to subsequently give it added weight. Consequently, the negative feedback regarding the attribution found on the site below would seek to reduce the spin and consequently reduce weight and sedimentation of the quote within social networks. I'm not sure I even agree with the quote, but it does add illustration to the life cycle of memes.
